       This work  represents the linguistics features of the recipe text, its national and cultural specificities.

        The research of the regularities related with the lexical,semantic and structural organization of texts has increased in recent years and has become a separate branch of linguistics. But the development of theoretical and practical issues in this field is far from its completeness. Such  type of  text as  recipe text is  not studied enough.

        The research of the recipe text compared to the fiction text was not paid much attention by the linguists. But because of the increasing number of different cookery books, the recipe text attracts great attention.

       At present the research of the English culinary vocabulary needs to solve the questions of lexical and semantic modelling of the names of the dishes and also their linguistic and cultural characteristics.

        Lexical units (taken from the culinary recipes) of the English language which mean the names of the dishes need to be studied. Such group as «the names of the dishes» takes one of the leading places in the system of vocabulary as for their wealth and diversity of the structural, semantic and grammar forms.

       The aim of the research is to show the features of such type of the text as recipe text.

        The object of the research work is English recipe text.

        The subject of the research is lexical and semantic features of the recipe text as a type of the text.

        The aim of the work is to reveal the lexical and semantic features of such type of the text as  recipe text.

        There are many approaches  as for the question of the classification of the types of the texts. Concerning the recipe text as the representative of the separate type of the text, we should say that it can be divided into several main groups, such as: cold dishes and appetizers, first courses ,main dishes, cookies, sweet dishes and drinks. These groups are divided into subgroups. Each subgroup differ one from another by its special taste, method of preparation, by its ingredients and also the time of the meals.

        Speaking about the structure  of the English recipe text  it mainly consists of several sentences with logical order, the aim of which is to list the coherence of the preparation of the dishes. Order sentences are used in the recipe text.

   So this research work  reveals lexical and semantic features  of such type of the text as recipe text.
